MuseumLog bot

MuseumLog is a mobile app for logging artworks seen in museums. To ground its artwork information in real sources, our servers make a small number of automated requests to public museum and knowledge-base APIs: Art Institute of Chicago, Wikidata, Wikipedia, and allowlisted museum collection pages.

What we fetch: public collection API records, public artwork pages, and public catalog images used transiently for artwork verification. We honor robots.txt, published rate limits, and Retry-After.

What we never do: crawl beyond specific artwork lookups, rotate IPs or user agents, or bypass access controls.
